Posted: Thursday 6 April 2017

As we prepare for the final leg of The Pogues Irish Whiskey Presents: A Shot at Discovery competition, we'd like to take a moment to introduce your esteemed judges...

It's been a wild ride for all the bands involved in The Pogues Irish Whiskey Presents: A Shot at Discovery competition, but with the final ten selected and ready to showcase what they're made of on Thursday 27 April, we'd like to proudly present the panel of accomplished judges tasked with picking the next RED HOT band to come out of the UK.

The Panel of Judges:

  • Spider Stacy from The Pogues
  • The Libertines’ Gary Powell
  • Head of Academy Events, Ian Richards
  • 1965 Records founder, and discoverer of The Libertines, James Endeacott
  • Virgin Radio’s Head of Music, Stephanie May
  • BBC Introducing gigs presenter, Jack Suddaby
  • Established Sheridan's music lawyer (Biffy Clyro, The Shires, Fun Lovin Criminals and Deadmau5), Stephen Kempner

The winning band will be determined by a combination of crowd votes and opinions of the industry judges.

About The Pogues Irish Whiskey:
