With so many huge acts in and out of our doors, it’s easy to forget those that are out there, tirelessly working their way up to the top who deserve your attention. This week, we’re putting the spotlight on Scottish pop-punk band, Woes.
There are many great things which have derived from Scotland, haggis and bagpipes to name a few, but one thing they’re particularly brilliant at is producing bands and pop-punk newcomers Woes are one of them.
Despite only being a band since 2016, Woes have already found themselves propelled them into the spotlight thanks to their debut self-titled EP, with Rock Sound calling it, “smart, grimy and sh*t-kicking all at once”.
With their name spreading like fire across the pop-punk community, it wasn’t long before Woes started taking on huge tours and support slots with the likes of Four Year Strong, Trash Boat and Neck Deep, where they tackled stages of all sizes, including O2 Academy Brixton.
Now though, they're taking 2018 by the horns and are determined to make it their year, starting with a signing to Australian label UNFD - home to the likes of Architects, Beartooth and Northlane - and dropping new track 'Real World'.
Like the sound of them? Make sure you get down early and catch them supporting Seaway on their UK tour.
