Meet your Fireball Fuelling the Fire Tour 2017 Finalists

The regional winners are in! Congratulations to the nine bands for beating hundreds of entries and winning the Fireball local bands competition. Each of the winners are now finalists, opening for the Fireball: Fuelling The Fire Tour 2017 in their respective venues and are in with a shot at becoming Fireball UK’s Hottest Band for 2018. So without further ado, let’s meet your finalists!

O2 Academy Leeds, Eat Defeat

Eat Defeat are a four piece pop punk outfit who have been up and down the UK and Europe for the past five years. Brewing catchy melodies with anthemic choruses on their EP, Time & Tide, they’re set to represent Leeds in the finale.

O2 Ritz Manchester, Everyone and Anyone

Having previously supported the likes of Creeper and WSTR on tour,  Everyone and Anyone are no strangers to performing. With their second EP, A Page From a Journal barely four months old, these pop punks are ready to up the ante.

O2 Academy Liverpool, Meet The Robots

Travelling the galaxy whilst writing killer pop rock tracks is no small feat, but Liverpool’s Meet The Robots have perfected their craft and are beaming back to earth to take to the stage on the back of releasing their 2017 EP, Ignore This.

O2 Academy Newcastle, Death to Indie

Bursting onto the punk rock scene in 2011, Death to Indie have since shared the stage with the likes of Dead Kennedys, Buzzcocks and Slaves. Inspired by Offspring, Rise Against, Ramones and Green Day, they’ll bring their massive stage presence with them when they perform.

With one EP released and another on the way, punk rockers, Frank Grimes and The Disasters are eager to exhibit what they have to offer as they represent Sheffield alongside the bands who have inspired them growing up.

Four-piece Last Edition will bring their sax-driven brand of ska punk to O2 Academy Leicester. With infectious sax lines, big and bold harmonies and bouncy riffs, they’ll showcase material from across their catalogue.

Lost in Stereo are new to the pop punk scene and fresh from writing their debut EP. Having headlined the infamous King Tuts and supported The Ataris earlier this year, they’re ready to prove why they should be at the top of the bill.

O2 Academy Bristol, Tree House Fire

With a European festival appearance at Boomtown under their belt, South Wales reggae/dub band Tree House Fire open at O2 Academy Bristol. Always determined to put on a show, they’ve shared the stage with The Skints, The Selecter, King Prawn and many more.

O2 Forum Kentish Town, River Jumpers

Having previously supported LA legends, Bad Religion, as well as the likes of The Swellers, The Flatliners and Masked Intruder, Brighton based skate punks River Jumpers bring their catalogue  (consisting of a full album and two Eps) to open the stage on the London leg of the tour.

The openers are in! Make sure you catch ska punk icons, Reel Big Fish alongside Mad Caddies and Fireball’s Hottest Band of 2017, Sweet Little Machine on the Fireball: Fuelling The Fire Tour 2017. Joining them at O2 Ritz Manchester, O2 Academy Bristol, O2 Academy Leicester, O2 Academy Glasgow, O2 Academy Leeds, both O2 Forum Kentish Town dates and O2 Academy Newcastle are punk rockers, Anti-Flag. 

“The torchbearers for modern British reggae music” -The Skints – will take Anti-Flag’s slot at O2 Academy Liverpool and O2 Academy Sheffield.
