Want to slow things down a bit? This little lot should do the trick.

J Mascis may be better known as Dinosaur Jr’s frontman, but his solo project (and latest album, Elastic Days) offer a gentler side to the Massachusetts musician. Built around acoustic guitar structures with psychedelic twists and seductive hooks, the record is a beautiful addition to his solo catalogue. Allowing his voice to take the lead whilst his fingers nimbly direct the soundscapes of each song, everything about a J Mascis’ performance is magical.
