10 finalists remained to battle it out at the national final of The Pogues Irish Whiskey’s: A Shot At Discovery new band competition at a sold out O2 Academy Islington in London on Thursday 27th April 2017.
The winner on the night would be crowned the UK’s best new band and take home the major prize of the ultimate artist development package.
Congratulations to Real Life Entertainment from Glasgow who were selected as the national winners by a panel of esteemed industry judges that included Spider Stacy from legendary band The Pogues, Gary Powell from The Libertines, James Endeacott from 1965 Records and Steve Zapp from booking agency ITB , amongst others.
Real Life Entertainment will now head into RAK Studios with Spider from The Pogues as guest producer to record an EP, whilst also scoring £3k towards new instruments plus support to release the EP and tour across the UK from Academy Music Group and The Pogues Irish Whiskey.
