Thursday 21 June isn’t just any old Thursday, this year it also marks the summer solstice – the UK's longest day and the official start of summer. So, whilst you’re digging out your suncream and planning a trip to the beach, take a look at all these summer-approved shows that’ll see you through the next few months.


Folk-pop artist Passenger first burst into the mainstream with his Ivor Novello-winning single, ‘Let Her Go’ in 2013 and has since gone on to release further show-stopping albums, filled with unforgettable choruses and heartwarming stories. His new album, Runaway, is set for release at the end of August and its Americana-tinged anthems will be the perfect soundtrack to wrap up those warm summer days.

If you’re looking for a bit of Latino fever to heat things up this summer, look no further than Bad Bunny. The Puerto Rican superstar has already collaborated with an impressive list of A-listers, including Enrique Iglesias, Nicky Minaj and Major Lazer, as well as featuring on Cardi B’s recent single, ‘I Like It’. Somewhat of an unstoppable force in Latin America, Bad Bunny is now breaking out to the US and beyond, creating a wave with his Latin-trap movement, which will light up O2 Forum Kentish Town when he visits in August.

Breakthrough boyband, Road Trip are heading out on their Summertime headline tour! Performing fan favourites from their previous releases, they’ll also be treating crowds to new music from their upcoming third EP and some of the hottest dance moves around.

You probably know Kiefer Sutherland from 24, The Lost Boys, Designated Survivor, or one of the many other films and TV shows he’s starred in. What you probably didn’t know, is that Kiefer is also an established country music star. His debut album, Down In A Hole is filled with whiskey-soaked love songs and you can experience the Hollywood star performing them in all their glory this month.

It doesn’t get more summer-appropriate than three sun-drenched Australians playing indie-folk bops for your listening pleasure. Sons Of The East are heading to the UK for the first time and they’ve chosen the perfect season for their visit. Mixing stirring harmonies with multi-instrumental melodies, their music was made for the sunshine and although we don’t have a beach, there will be summery vibes aplenty at their headline London show.

You know those summer days when you’re lying in the sun and everything seems right in the world? Well Iron & Wine is the soundtrack to those days. Over the years, the singer-songwriter has treated us to intricate, emotional and uplifting indie-folk songs that fit every mood and with latest album, Beast Epic he’s created some of his most beautiful work yet. If like us, you spent much of your teenage years obsessively watching One Tree Hill, then this is a show you do not want to miss out on. Kate Voegele (who played Mia Catalano in the show) and Tyler Hilson (Chris Keller), are teaming up for a co-headline tour, where they’ll showcase the other side to their talents and perform from both of their highly-celebrated catalogues of music.

Pop-punk and summer pretty much go hand in hand and ROAM’s new album Great Heights & Nosedives may as well come with a bucket and spade. Taking on some intimate venues for an up close and personal affair, expect to see flying inflatables and a whole lot of sweaty fans joining in the fun.

Scottish folk singer-songwriter, Ben Monteith has become a bit of a star in his hometown of Glasgow, gathering a huge following for busking on the streets and his stunning covers or everyone’s favourite songs. Going from the streets to venues, he’s now set for his debut headline tour, where he’ll be performing some of his own material, with a few bangers thrown in for good measure.

Back with their first new music in three years, Australia’s very own The Beautiful Girls return to London this summer, bringing the seaside highlife sound of new single ‘Beautiful World’ with them.
